Lacrosse Coaching in San Diego That Actually Moves the Needle

Whether your kid is picking up a stick for the first time or chasing a college roster spot, you want a coach who’s been where they want to go. Will started in net at the Division I level, in front of packed crowds, against nationally ranked teams. Now he’s bringing that same standard to players across San Diego.

You Don’t get better by accident.

We offer three ways to train, built around where you are in your game right now.

You get better with good reps, honest feedback, and someone who knows the difference between looking the part and actually playing it. That’s what we do at Pipemasters. No fluff, no overpriced gimmicks — just real coaching from someone who’s lived the game at the highest level and genuinely loves teaching it. We coach players of every level here in San Diego, and we meet them exactly where they are… but we never leave them there.

Large Group Coaching

This is where it starts. Big, high-energy sessions built for younger players and anyone new to the sport. We keep it fun, we keep it moving, and we sneak the fundamentals in while everyone’s having a blast. Your kid will leave knowing more than when they showed up — and wanting to come back.

Small Group Coaching

Smaller groups, sharper focus. This is for athletes who’ve got the basics down and are ready to compete. More reps per player, more individual attention, and the kind of pressure-tested drills that translate to game day. If your player is thinking about varsity or beyond, this is the room to be in.

Private One-on-One Coaching

Just you and Will. The fastest way to fix what’s holding you back and build on what’s already working. Every session is built around your specific goals — footwork, mechanics, IQ, mindset, recruiting prep, whatever it takes. This is where serious players make serious jumps.

Introducing Our New Program

Intro Series Goalie Training Program

A focused training environment built for younger and newer goalies learning the position — centered around fun, quality reps, and building real confidence in the cage each week.

Focus 1

Confidence and Mindset

Learn to reset after goals, communicate with your defense, and embrace the challenge of the position.

Focus 2

Fundamentals

Stance, footwork, stepping to ball, stick work, angles, clears — the building blocks done right.

Focus 3

Fun

High-energy, game-like reps with coaches and high school goalies rotating throughout each session.

“Plenty of people coach youth lacrosse in San Diego. Will teaches it. The difference comes down to one thing — a former Penn State starting goalie who understands your student-athlete, knows the game at its highest level, and develops a training plan built uniquely around them.”

Why train with Pipemasters Lacrosse?

Experience Matters

Will didn’t read about D1 lacrosse in a book — he started in goal for Penn State, made 15-save performances against ranked opponents, and competed in the Big Ten. That experience shows up in every session.

Context Counts

Beginner, teen, or college-bound, we’ve got a lane for you. No one gets thrown in over their head, and no one gets bored. Whether you choose the large group coaching format or small, you will fit right into the session and get a ton out of it.

We Care About You

The whole point is improvement. We measure it, we push for it, and we’re honest with you about how to get there. We know the plan and we know the plan will work for you. All it takes it time and dedication, and the results will show.

What We Offer

Pipemasters offers a comprehensive approach to mastering the goalie position.

01

Team-Focused Group Sessions

Lacrosse is a team sport, so we train like one — group sessions that build the communication, chemistry, and game-situation execution that turn individual players into a unit.

02

Live Shots and Drills

Real reps at real speed: live shots and game-pace drills that build the reactions, footwork, and confidence you can’t get standing around a cone.

03

In-Game Mental Training

Drawing on his Division I experience at Penn State, Will teaches the mental game most coaches skip — staying composed, bouncing back from mistakes, and locking in when it matters most.
